Welcome to Bruin Entrepreneurs!

My name is Nathan Lim, and I am humbled and excited to serve as the 2023-2024 President for Bruin Entrepreneurs, UCLA’s premier entrepreneurship organization. As a third-year Bruin studying the fundamentals and intersection of Accounting and Data Science with my major in Economics, I continue to be fascinated by the growth and successes of new ventures in our quickly evolving and changing society, where innovators seek to create ease starting productive dialogues between institutions, the environment, and themselves that incite positive change in moving the world forward.

I am excited to see BE surpass ten years in shaping the entrepreneurial space on campus. Through informational and collaborative dialogue that sparks during our Weekly Nights to the creative grit that gets unleashed in our Designathon, BE truly serves as a powerful and equitable resource for students to learn, explore, and grow. BE hosts successful startup fairs via our Startup Fair LA initiative and creative bootcamps and workshops through 1K Pitches, Startup Labs, and BruinLabs. We have worked with incredible entrepreneurs and professionals across industries who have integrated themselves as part of the BE network, and I am extremely excited to see what this new year will bring in terms of new ventures, events, and members in our community. 

It is a common mantra across organizations that people are the greatest asset to them. At BE, we value this meaning a bit further as we integrate important societal causes to our practices. Not only do we care about the inclusivity and access of our offerings and events, we recognize a fundamental moral principle: that aspiring to inspire is actualized in purposeful living. We see that the diversity in potential and output our people provide to the dialogue are the asset that drive us forward. Our purpose here then is to inspire those to BE the Next Big Thing. 

Whether you are a student interested in entrepreneurship, an entrepreneur experienced with starting a venture, or you know nothing at all, BE has a place for you. I am humbled and excited to welcome you to our community.
